What compensation may look like

Programs may pay a one-time commission, a recurring share of subscription payments, a fixed bounty, product credit, or another disclosed benefit. Some links may also provide a reader discount or free credit.

How links are labeled

A page containing a compensated link includes a clear disclosure near the recommendation or link. Eligible outbound links use a sponsored relationship attribute where appropriate. If a direct seller link is not compensated, we do not describe it as an active affiliate relationship.

Editorial independence

Compensation can influence which products are practical to cover. It does not authorize fake testing, hidden drawbacks, invented results, or a guaranteed recommendation. A product can fail our evaluation even when an affiliate program is available.

Software trials and recurring plans

Free credits and trials can expire. Subscription pricing, credit use, upgrades, cancellations, and refund rules belong to the vendor. Verify the current offer before signing up.

Current relationship status

Product Field Guide does not treat a pending application as an approved partnership. Until a program is approved and a tracked link is active, product coverage will say that links are pending or remain non-affiliate.
